Pow! Wow!

Um, Pocahontas called. She wants her modern day stylings back.

This outfit is pretty casual, but I have acting class tonight, and I was feeling inspired by a recent-ish audition and call-back that I had for a Native American girl who turns into a wolf! I didn't book it, but I was thrilled to be considered. It was the biggest audition of my life, and truly it was an honor to even be asked to audition. The fact that I got a call-back was insane! I can't wait to see who they finally chose for the role. My hope is that they'll cast Q'orianka Kilcher.

Fringe Minnetonka boots

Boot leg love!!! These are my second favorite pair of shoes, ever. I was trepidatious about buying them because they are a half size too small, but my theory that they'd stretch to fit me proved to be accurate.

Peacock feather

This feather barrette was on clearance at Claire's like three years ago because feathers just weren't as cool then as they are now. I'm so glad I unearthed it from a shoe box full of junk, recently.

Reconstructed necklace

This necklace was bought from F21. And like a bunch of their stuff there, the craftsmanship was less than ideal. It ended up falling apart, but that gave me the unique opportunity to reconstruct it exactly how I'd like it.

My Grandma is full-blooded Native American and she raised me, so I blame her for my very serious weakness for fringed boots. You know this isn't the first time I've professed my love for the fringe!
