Video- Behind the Shopping: Goodwill

I love thrift stores. That is no secret around here. I usually find awesome stuff for super cheap there... like this amazing khaki Kensie coat that was hanging out at Goodwill last Thursday:

I have loved shopping at Goodwill stores for as long as I can remember. As a frequent buyer and donor, I was curious to get a glimpse at the life of the things I buy there before I buy them. Last Thursday, Janelle, the very cool online marketing coordinator of Goodwill Industries of Central Texas, invited me to take a peak in the back of the Goodwill store on Lamar:

[song: "How Do You Do It" by Quiet Company]
Special thanks the super duper famous Austin based band Quiet Company for letting me use one of their songs for my little 'ole video blog. Make sure to check them out when you get a moment.

While walking around in the donation center and sorting area of Goodwill, I could not believe the volume of things they take in and sell each and every day! And this is just one of their 31 central Texas locations. I was also quite impressed to learn more about the mission of Goodwill. Who knew that shopping could feel so good?

Big ups to Janelle for allowing me to get a behind the scenes look at Goodwill and for giving me this mint condition Kensie jacket to give away to one of my Facebook friends.

As a thank you for making the newly formed Adored Austin Facebook page double in size in less than a week, I thought I'd try a Facebook exclusive giveaway. To win this coat, go here, Facebook buddies.
