Spotlight on Mata Traders and Nicole from Writes Like a Girl (and Taylor Swift?)

An outfit post from Indiana . . .

Here is a little list of three things that I adore:

  1. Dresses with pockets,
  2. Companies that do good, and
  3. Young bloggers who are producing consistent and thoughtful content.

And guess what? You get all three in this one post!

You also get a confession: I am wearing this dress backwards. On purpose. I picked this Mata Traders dress out because I loved the scooped back, but when it arrived, I didn't love the highish neckline on me. Nonetheless, I was about to leave the house wearing the dress correctly, when I noticed that the bust seaming was repeated on the back and that the pockets were simple inserts that could lay the other way. So I flipped the dress around, liked it 10x more, and Kris Krossed / Mac Daddied it to Cheesecake Factory to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday last night.

Here's the dress on correctly because I just knew you were going to ask!

Nicole, who was my TxSC15 muse (and who is the hope for the future of blogging!) has the teal version of this dress  and wore it in its intended position in her OOTD post yesterday. I styled it pretty much the same with brown shoes, bare legs, and a floppy hat, but that's probably because we're both big time Taylor Swift fans (and who isn't?). This combo has a certain Swifty flair to it. Especially mine because Tay has been known to wear things backwards (usually on accident: 12... but STILL!). Can I please be part of Taylor Swift's squad now or am I too old and too not famous for that?
